Koh Phi Phi (Koh means “Island” in the Thai language) is one of the most popular destinations in Thailand. The group of islands are part of Krabi province and they are located in South Thailand, in the Andaman Sea (Indian Ocean). Only one island of the group of six (Koh Phi Phi Don) offers accommodation choices. But despite that, there is a great variety of regions to stay in Koh Phi Phi to suit different tastes. There is always a right place to stay for everyone.
Ton Sai Bay is the central region of Koh Phi Phi and Laem Tong Beach, a little far from the center (about 40 minutes by long-tail boat), is where the most luxurious hotels are found (and also the most expensive ones). Actually, the central area of Koh Phi Phi Don is located between Tonsai Bay (where the pier is situated) and Loh Dalum. Ao Lo Dalam, beside Ton Sai Bay, is the liveliest place in the whole Phi Phi Islands and hosts a great choice of good restaurants, boutiques, bars and hotels for all type of customers and budgets. Usually it’s where young people who love to party and who’d like to enjoy the nightlife stay. Long Beach is for those who want to enjoy a beautiful and peaceful beach with quietness, away from Lo Dalam’s noise. But better than that, you can have all of those things staying exactly between Long Beach and Ton Sai Bay. For us, that’s the better region to stay in Koh Phi Phi. And that’s where we stayed, more specific at Bayview Resort Phi Phi Island.
The main assets of this area are its tranquillity and its proximity with the village (a five-minute trip by long-tail boat) and all it has to offer in matter of dining, shopping, and nightlife entertainment. It hosts a few bungalow resorts and beach restaurants. It’s ideal for families with children, for people looking for a village community feel and for budget-conscious travellers. It’s quiet and not crowded and offers accommodation choices for every kind of traveller. We loved to stay in that area! Water sports (kayaking, snorkelling, and scuba diving) are the main activities. Composed of beautiful beaches and mountains covered with thick vegetation, the Bayview Resort Phi Phi Island is the right place for nature lovers.
The Phi Phi Islands are close to Phuket Province. We arrived in Koh Phi Phi by Ferry Boat, coming from Phuket. As soon as we arrived at Ton Sai pier, there was already an employee of Phi Phi Bayview Resort waiting for us, to take us to the hotel by longtail. This free transfer is awesome because we felt kind of lost when we arrived there.

As said before, the localization of the Hotel is perfect! At the extremity of the most calm beach of the island, the area is a reserved place, without noise or bother, perfect for those who look for relaxation and peace at bed time but also don’t want to stay far from the centre. The hotel is close to Ton Sai Centre and it’s easy to reach there by walking (around 10 minutes). This is one of the most good things about Phi Phi Bayview Hotelits localization!
Because Koh Phi Phi is one of the greatest attractions in Thailand, the hotels there usually are more expensive than in other parts of the country. As mentioned before, at Phi Phi’s village there are many options of hotels and resorts, for all type of customers and budgets. However, for people like us who prefer to save money with accommodation but also staying in a fantastic location and in a good hotel without losing any kind of comfort, Phi Phi Bayview Resort is an excelente choice. That’s another reason why we recommend this hotel: it’s an excellent cost benefit in Phi Phi.
The beach which stays right in front of the Hotel (Laem Hin Beach) is very beautiful and excellent for swimming. Just be careful around the rocks there. I got my toe scratched with the rocks, but thanks God it was not a big deal, just a small wound.
The excellent service is delivery at all times and all employees treated us very well. The hotel has a nice and cozy ambiance, we felt like we were home. Besides that, we abused their kindness. We asked someone of the hotel to fill up an empty pool float we brought from Brazil and without hesitation he went to a gas station and did it for us. Then, we could take very good photos floating at the ocean. We were also able to take it to Maya Bay with us, on the next day.
The rooms are very spacious and they look like bungalows. Ours had an amazing view to the beach and to the mountains. With breakfast, swimming pool and a private beach, this is for sure the ideal choice for those who don’t want to spend a lot of money with luxurious hotels but prefer to discover the beauties of the island and enjoy its attractions instead. But also having comfort and staying in a good location.
Surrounded by trees, flowers and an incredible garden, all 160 bungalows offer a serene stay with everything you need to have a good night of rest and sleep. The wooden floors and the Thai decorative touches suit perfectly with the natural settings of the place. The rooms also have a spacious private balcony, serving as a peaceful spot where it’s possible to hear the sounds of nature and the gentle waves lapping ashore. Not mentioning the tropical mountain and sea views you can enjoy from the furnished balcony.

All villas have twin beds or at least one queen size bed and modern amenities like air-conditioning, hot shower, satellite TV, mini-bar, safety box, tea and coffee set. Grand Deluxe Rooms are the largest bungalows (40sqm). We stayed in a Deluxe Villa bungalow, located on the hill and with a gorgeous view over Phi Phi Don Bay. It was really relaxing to open up the curtains and enjoy that fantastic view of the blue ocean at first thing in the morning. To know more about Phiphi Bayview accommodations, click here.

The breakfast is simple but more than adequate. It’s well served, with various menu options and you will find everything you need. The staff are very helpful and friendly, we really liked it. So you can have a good and healthy breakfast before leaving to enjoy your trip in Koh Phi Phi.

Staying at Phi Phi Bayview, you must go walking to Long Beach, an amazing paradise which stays only 20 minutes from there. It’s really worthy to visit it. Long Beach is not so crowded as other beaches in Koh Phi Phi. The ocean has a nice temperature and the waters are crystalline. It’s a real paradise, almost a desert island.
Long Beach has an easy access and it’s not hard to arrive there. You can reach it by longtail boat or by walking. This beach has possibly the softest and finest white sand and there’s also excellent snorkeling. If you wanna enjoy a quiet and calm paradise beach in Koh Phi Phi, certainly Long Beach is the right place for you. We loved that beach!

We recommend Phi Phi Bayview Resort. It’s an excellent choice for nature lovers and romantics travellers.
