Going to Asia and not trying their food is the same of never being there. Its culinary is pretty different and exotic and you must try it. One of the things we most like to do when we are traveling is to meet the gastronomy of the region, its typical plates, the habits and customs of its people, the most common ingredients, main restaurants, etc. We like to eat well without spending a lot of money on it. One day or other during the trip, we try to meet a more fancy and sophisticated place.
And in the city of Phuket, southern of Thailand, there are many options of good restaurants, but in this article we’re gonna focus on a place that really enchanted us: the Naughty Nuri´s Phuket. It’s a very nice place: romantic, fun and sophisticated at the same time. And the best thing of it: it’s not an expensive restaurant.
Patong Beach is the main tourist region in the island of Phuket. It has many bars, stores, restaurants, pubs and nightlife. Only 5 minutes walking from our hotel BYD Lofts Boutique Hotel & Serviced Apartments we find the amazing asian restaurant Naughty Nuri’s Phuket.

Naughty Nuri’s In The Forest is a restaurant originally from Bali, Indonesia, a legendary BBQ Restaurant specialising in pork ribs, serving a Asian food of excellent quality. Naughty Nuri’s is very famous for its Pork Ribs, being considered by its own guests as “Probably the Best Ribs in the World”. We loved this place, it’s really worthy to visit it while you are in Phuket. Don’t miss this unique opportunity. We were more than happy to put the Pork Ribs to the test and we can say for sure that it was really the BEST RIBS WE HAVE EVER HAD. The brand has 14 restaurants around the world and it’s very famous in Indonesia and Malaysia. It opened in Phuket last year, at the end of 2017.
Located in the heart of Patong Beach, the @naughtynurisphuket is a great option for those who want to know a little bit more of the Asian and Thai culture, trying an excellent asian food in a fun ambiance and with many attractions. It’s an elegant and cheering place.
Very well classified among the first restaurants of Patong Beach based on the reviews of TripAdvisor, the restaurant is very spacious and it’s awesome for every kind of customer. Since the ones who just want to relax and enjoy an excellent food until those who want to have some fun, be entertained, play pool, but also having a food of quality. And believe us, we really had a perfect meal there.
Despite being a restaurant specialized in Pork dishes, the Menu is very diverse and very interesting, with salads, soups, many kinds of appetizers, beef meat, chicken, french fries, many kind of sauces and, of course, very different dishes including pork meat. The Menu is really very complete! The Beverage Menu has also many options of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The preferred one for most clients is the Signature Colada, a Piña Colada that comes in a personalized coconut and has 5 different delicious flavors (classic, strawberry, passion fruit, raspberry and mango).
We took the suggestion of the chef and enjoyed a very delicious salad for side dish (N-Nuri’s Chef Vegan Salad). It really worths to try it, cuz it was one of the best salads we’ve ever had. The salad comes with grilled zucchini, carrot, onion ring, bell pepper topped with roast sesame vinaigrette.
Other suggestion of the house was the famous pork ribs, a Must-Try dish, the special “Naughty Nuri’s 1995 Signature BBQ Spare Ribs”. This is the most popular pork ribs specially marinated with Balinese spices, dipped in a signature sauce and char grilled to perfection. Seriously, it was the best ribs we have ever had. Now we understand why some customers say it’s the best ribs in the World. Don’t leave Phuket without trying this dish, you will never eat something like that again.
We also had “The Notorious Short Ribs”, another Must-Try Dish. This one is tender beef short ribs served with caramelized onion rice. We ordered slightly spicy and it was PERFECT!
The restaurant also has some interesting kinds of dessert and they all looked very delicious. The most exotic one is the “Volcano Flambe Oreo Porky Cheese Cake”, a homemade bacon infused Oreo cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. Too bad we couldn’t taste it. Everything was so good before the dessert that we just ate too much and we got really full at the end of the meal. But please, don’t miss this unique opportunity to try this dessert. That was our greatest regret.
Again, we can’t forget to mention the Beverage Menu, with Piña Colada served in a coconut and the Mojitos. Like we don’t drink alcohol, we ordered a Nuri’s Punch, a very delicious and refreshing drink. It reminded us a lemonade.
We visited this restaurant in April, during the Songkran Festival. Songkran is the Thai New Year’s national holiday. It is 13 April every year, but the holiday period extends from 14–15 April. Songkran means literally “astrological passage”, meaning transformation or change. It is a celebration of the New Year in accordance with the solar calendar. The holiday is known for its water festival. Major streets are closed to traffic and are used as arenas for water fights. Celebrants, young and old, Thai people and tourists, they all participate in this tradition by splashing water on each other. The water represents purification and the washing away of one’s sins and bad luck. And the Restaurant Naughty Nuri’s Phuket also got into the mood of celebration. Outside the place there was a big commemoration for clients, staff members and for all of those who wanted to participate of the party. Loud music, dancing and water fight were part of the celebration. It was really fun!
Looking for a place for your corporate lunch/dinner, birthday party, staff party, seminar or just a place to hang out and have a delicious meal in Patong Beach, surely Naughty Nuri’s Phuket is the best place to do that. It’s a beautiful place, great food and excellent service.
So, if you are going to Phuket, we strongly recommend this place. It’s an excellent cost benefit in Patong Beach.
